As much as I wanted to push through and go about my planned activities, my body simply wouldn’t cooperate. Sometimes, no matter how much we resist, we have to listen to what our body needs—rest and recovery. It’s a reminder that health always comes first, and missing out on plans is okay if it means taking care of yourself. Though I spent the weekend in bed instead of outside having fun, I took this as an opportunity to slow down, recharge, and remind myself that it’s okay to pause when needed.
