I found myself on the dance floor, wacking and voguing to the rave DJ’s beats. I even had spontaneous showdowns with some fabulous gays on the dance floor—an impromptu battle of moves that had everyone cheering and laughing. It felt like being back in my clubbing days, where dancing was my ultimate expression of freedom and joy.

Watching the videos that my colleagues captured that night brought me so much laughter and nostalgia. In those clips, you can see the pure happiness in my face as I danced like no one was watching. And to be honest, I didn’t care what anyone thought! My friend, Chiara, and I are kindred spirits when it comes to partying.
