Weekends are meant for unwinding and recharging, and mine was just that, thanks to my dear friend and officemate, Chiara. We kicked off our day at Shangri-La Plaza, a hub for delicious eats and high-end inspiration. While Chiara couldn’t resist grabbing some sisig for late lunch/ early dinner, we spent the rest of the time indulging in window shopping. Our biggest “window dream”? Owning a Rado Diastar someday. It’s always fun to let your imagination run wild in such a luxurious setting—proof that dreaming big doesn’t cost a thing.

Our next stop was SM Megamall, where we decided to treat ourselves to a scoop of happiness at Manila Creamery. Their ice cream? Divine. As we strolled through the mall, hopping from one boutique to another, it was a mix of savoring the moment and taking mental notes of items we’d love to splurge on in the future. There’s something about walking amidst stylish displays that fuels your ambition to work harder and treat yourself someday.

As the day transitioned into evening, we wrapped things up at Starbucks California Garden in Mandaluyong. Over cups of coffee, we dived into meaningful conversations about life, work, and future goals. It’s these quiet yet profound moments that make weekends worthwhile—where laughter meets reflection, and simple joys meet dreams waiting to manifest.

This weekend was a gentle reminder of how important it is to balance enjoyment and ambition.
